We joined in the Cosmoprof Asia Digital Week that was held from June 27 through July 5, 2022. The exhibition had 37,887 visitors, 124,588 profile views and 10,508 Exchanged Chat Messages.

Compared to the previous exhibition, the number of exhibitors and visitors decreased, suggesting that many companies may be considering exhibiting at a real exhibition such as Cosmoprof Singapore which is held in November.
We would like to review the exhibition from three perspectives.
First, in the exhibition, various people were giving virtual lectures as part of the “E-learning” program. The eight lectures included one on J-beauty, the sustainability of the beauty industry, trends, and others. We pick up two of the seminars that caught our attention.
“Sustainability in the Beauty Industry: Future Perspectives”
This seminar introduced what sustainability is, what cosmetics companies are doing about sustainability, and future trends. It was introduced that pollution of rivers and oceans is progressing, that the environment is getting worse every year, and that to consider sustainability, the three pillars of society (people), environment (earth), and economy (profit) must be integrated in a balanced manner. The presentation included the big trend in the cosmetics industry to use upcycled ingredients as a sustainability initiative, and the shift in packaging to post-in containers, plastic-free containers, plastic-neutral containers, and so on.
“On trend: The evolving beauty consumer”
The presentation introduced two consumer trends: simplification and sophistication.
“Simplification” refers to the trend toward quicker and easier makeup in the West, while in Asia, it refers to the trend toward natural-looking makeup. The term “simplification” has a different meaning depending on the area. On the other hand, the trend of “sophistication” is that people worldwide want products and brands to be natural and sustainable.
In concert with the trend of the seminar, there were several “SDGs” oriented exhibit booths. For example, “SUSTAINABLE CLEAN BEAUTY” featured water-free products, EWG green, vegan, PEG-free formulations, and upcycled ingredients. They were using plant-derived materials instead of petroleum-derived materials and offering refillable packaging systems. Container companies were also proposing containers using Ocean Bound plastic, and it seemed that each company was taking a variety of approaches.
We, Facelabo exhibited six series at the exhibition. Among them, we pick up a cleanser that can be used by all genders and a men’s skin care proposal as a new proposal that matches the market trend.
“Terraroche®” Mineral Cleanser
Using our own mineral powder material, the smooth, creamy texture of this product is formulated to remove roughness from the skin while leaving it moisturized without leaving a sticky residue.
Men’s Skin Care
The formulas are designed to condition the skin based on men’s skin characteristics and are stress-free and comfortable for men to use in their shaving habits.
If you are interested in any of the other formulations we exhibited at the show, such as skincare lines with upcycled raw materials and/or health supplements, please do not hesitate to contact us.
