Lotion, Toner
These are the top-selling products in Japan, with about 90% of women using them morning and night. Internationally, this is best known as toner that is applied to cotton pads and used to wipe away dirt, but in Japan it is used as a lotion that moisturizes and softens the skin — a key product for supplying moisture to the skin. It is a key skincare product that is used to create a base of soft, moisturized skin. Place it in the hand and apply it directly to clean, freshly washed skin, or use a cotton pad to pat it on. To achieve the soft, moisture-rich skin that defines the J-Beauty look, consider incorporating lotion as a key step of your product lineup.
Depending on your requirements, we can develop various textures according to skin type and function, from a light, refreshing feel to a rich, thick texture like that of a serum. There are many clear types on the market, but formulas can also be produced featuring a cloudy-color, giving a more effective appearance, or simply the natural color of the ingredients. Milk, Cream
Milks and creams, which contain oil, are used as the final skincare step. These not only supplement moisture and boost effectiveness of ingredients aimed at treating skin problems, but also work to maintain moisture in the skin through oil content. They create a film of oil on the surface of the skin that prevents the evaporation of moisture supplied by lotion or serum. They prevent dryness of the skin and play an important role in maintaining the moisture and elasticity of the skin.
Cream contains a lot of oil and has a richer texture than milk. It thoroughly protects the surface of the skin. According to preference, skin type, and even the season, we can make a rich texture that envelops the skin for use while sleeping, or a smooth texture that spreads quickly over the skin and blends into it well. We also have gel-type creams made with less oil that are light and fresh, and suitable for people who don't like sticky formulas.
As milk has a higher ratio of water compared with cream, it is recommended for people who have oily or shiny skin. It features a smooth texture that blends into the skin well, but according to your preference we can develop anything from a smooth light type to a rich type that offers a firm feeling of protection.
Serum
Serums offer extra beauty effects through the use of beauty ingredients aimed at treating specific concerns. Various formats can be developed, such as rich liquids, gels, emulsions or oil types. By combining them with ingredients aimed at treating specific concerns, we offer a wide range of serums. For example, we recommend a liquid type that is rich in moisturizing ingredients and permeates the skin well for use after lotion (toner). Supplement this with pinpoint application of a thicker type with concentrated serum liquid for use on fine lines around the eyes. A formula with a feel of permeation can also be used as a booster after cleansing the face and before applying lotion (toner). By ensuring that no makeup or other unwanted substance remains on the skin, it is thought that products subsequently applied to the skin will permeate more effectively, making these two steps important in maintaining beautiful skin. Cleansing removes makeup, while face washing washes away dirt, excess sebum, and makeup residue, etc. We can develop cleansers and face washes that combine cleansing ingredients and formulas according to the thickness of the makeup and skin type.
Oil-type cleansers are effective at removing makeup and have gained attention recently as a key product in caring for pores. Milk, or cream types can be used to massage the skin while cleansing it and their moist finish makes it popular for people with dry skin. For those who prefer a light, fresh finish, we recommend a water-based, gel type. Those who prefer to remove their makeup quickly and easily tend to use a lotion-type cleanser to wipe makeup off with cotton pads.
A cleanser that has been very popular lately in Japan is the balm type. The balm melts on the skin, transforming into an oil that removes makeup. The cleansing effects that are particular to that texture, that feel of use, and the oil, have made balms popular also among men who are concerned about their pores.
For face washing, the standard type features cream mixed into a lather and then used. It's popular for its creamy lather and refreshing feel after use. The liquid type comes in a pump-action bottle that releases foam, eliminating the need to lather the product. The fine foam is perfect for wash your face with. Cleansing tends to be done at night to remove makeup, but we recommend using a facial cleanser in the morning to wash away the sebum produced while sleeping. We also make a cream type of facial cleanser that contains clay so it does not lather and can be used to remove dirt and dead skin.
